Repeat prescriptions are normally for patients who receive regular treatment.
Your doctor will decide who can have a repeat prescription. From time to time we will ask you to see your doctor to review your medication. We do this to monitor your illness and medication.
You can ask for a repeat prescription:
- Online with Patient Access - CLICK HERE
- By calling into the surgery and leaving request in prescription box in reception
- By telephone as of the 2nd May please request your prescription by telephoning 01179002536 between 10am - 2pm - we are trialling this service for the foreseeable future
- By post enclosing a stamped address envelope for your script to be posted to you.
Wherever possible please give the exact drug name, your name and address and date of birth when ordering.
Your prescription will be available for you to pick up after 3 working days.
You can also ask for it to be collected from a local pharmacy. Our local pharmacists can also arrange to deliver your tablets to your home.
Some local chemists have a collection and delivery service.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
