Asthma Clinic

Nurse clinics are held regularly to monitor your illness, and offer advice and support.

Baby Clinic

Clinics for postnatal and 8 week checks are run by a G.P. For advice and immunisation clinics please speak to the receptionist or health visitor for more information.

Contraceptive Services

We offer a range of contraceptive counselling including sexual health and are a  4 YP practice.  We routinely offer contraceptive implants , coil fitting and depro provera injections.

Diabetes Clinic

Nurse clinics are held regularly to monitor your illness, and offer advice and support.

Dietician

A doctor may refer you to a dietician if your weight is endangering your health.

District Nurses

If you are unable to attend the surgery for nursing care, the District Nurses may visit you at home.

Drug and Alcohol Services

If you feel you have any problems about drink or drugs your doctor may be able to refer you on to specialist services. The practice follows the South Bristol Methadone protocol where all patients receiving methadone on prescription must see a Drugs Worker. All consultations are confidential.

Health Visitors

There are Health Visitors and Play Development Workers in the Health Visitors Team. They aim to help you with child development and health issues.

Heart Disease

Nurse clinics are held regularly to monitor your illness, and offer advice and support. You may be invited to attend this clinic.

Immunisations

It is important to keep up to date with your immunisations to avoid serious illnesses. You can go to the treatment room or come to one of these clinics:

  • Childhood illnesses
    We will invite your child to attend when they reach the age for their immunisation
      
  • Flu jabs
    We will invite you to attend for a flu immunisation if you are aged over 65, you have a chronic disease or have an illness that would be made worse if you caught flu
      
  • Travel
    If you are going abroad, you can arrange an appointment with a Treatment Room nurse for advice on any immunisations you may require

Remember that you should always discuss your particular needs with your own doctor or nurse.

Maternity Care

When you are pregnant you will receive regular care from your usual doctor and midwife before and after your baby is born.

  • All patients are seen by the Midwives at William Budd Health Centre.

Minor Surgery

The doctors are able to inject joints,and remove some skin tags.

Physiotherapy

We are very lucky to have two experienced physiotherapists who work with us on a weekly basis. They offer advice and treat problems with muscles or joints e.g. after an injury.

Smoking

We can offer support and advice when trying to quit.

Speech Therapy

If you are concerned about your child’s speech or language your doctor can refer you to a Speech Therapist.

Treatment Room

Our Practice Nurses provide a range of services for minor injuries, immunisations, blood tests, health checks, blood pressure testing, cervical smears, ear syringing, emergency contraception and travel clinics. They run a range of Chronic Disease Clinics and offer professional advice.
